A high court in Yola has sentenced two staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Ibrahim Mohammed Umar and Sahabo Iya Hamman, to a total of 42 years in prison after they were proven guilty of collecting bribe.

The NBS boss, Yemi Kale, said the 2019 report rated Imo state as the least corrupt state in Nigeria. The southeastern state was rated the least corrupt state in Nigeria with 17.6%, followed by Jigawa and Plateau states.
