Nigeria's Super Eagles on Wednesday night, July 17, beat Tunisia 1-0 to win bronze medal at the AFCON 2019 tournament in which striker Odion Ighalo scored the only goal.

Nigeria vs Tunisia ended 1-0 in favour of the West African giants as Super Eagles claimed the bronze medal of the ongoing 2019 AFCON in Egypt on Wednesday, July 17, at Al-Salam Stadium.

Nigeria defeat Tunisia to win AFCON 2019 bronze medal. Odion Ighalo scored the only goal of the game after just three minutes of action. The striker stretched his goal tally to five and might win the golden boot.

Nigeria and Tunisia will square off play in the third placed match of AFCON 2019 as both teams play their final game of the tournament. The Super Eagles were denied going into extra time by a 94th minute winner by Riyad Mahrez.

Tunisia vs Nigeria AFCON clash will see either side emerge as the 3rd best team at the tourney. The Super Eagles will wear their traditional green and white jersey for the meeting. They were beaten 2-1 by Algeria at the semifinal

A new rule has been introduced in football involving goalkeepers who have the ability to kick the ball from post to post. If the ball eventually enters the back of the net from one post to another the goal will not be awarded.
