NYSC registration: guidelines, requirements, documents, portal

NYSC is a one-year mandatory service for Nigerian graduates who are under the age of 30 years. Graduates who are 30 years or older are not allowed to join NYSC. Instead, they receive a Certificate of Exemption (an equivalent to an NYSC Discharge Certificate). This article provides a full overview of the online NYSC registration process via the portal, the required documents, and any additional conditions you must meet to qualify for this program.

Any Prospective Corps Member (PCM) summoned to serve in the NYSC must do so for a year (a continuous term) beginning on the date mentioned in the call-up letter. This program instills discipline in young people and teaches them to be patriotic to their nation. On top of that, NYSC certificates will now be issued by the NITDAA blockchain technology. The documents will be secure and temper-proof to enhance their authenticity, integrity, and validity.
