Ruth Kadiri was born and raised in Benin City, Edo State. She is the first of two children of Desmond Kadiri. She spent much of her childhood with her mother, as her father worked abroad. Kadiri holds a National Diploma in Business Administration from Yaba College of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos .
Kadiri entered Nollywood in 2005 with her debut in the film Boys Cot. Since then, she has featured in over 100 movies and has written or co-written several, including Matters Arising, Heart of a Fighter, Ladies Men, Sincerity, First Class, and Over the Edge. As a producer, her works include Memory Lane, Tripod, and WET. She is also the CEO of Ruth Kadiri Films and Ruth Kolors, a hair brand.
