Hadi Sirika is a Nigerian politician and trained pilot who served as Minister of Aviation from 2015 to 2023 under President Muhammadu Buhari.
Prior to his ministerial role, he was a member of the House of Representatives (2003–2007) and later represented Katsina North Senatorial District in the Senate (2011–2015). As Minister, Sirika initiated several aviation reforms, including airport certifications and the proposed Nigeria Air project.
However, in 2024, he faced legal challenges when the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned him, along with his daughter and son-in-law, on charges related to alleged fraudulent contracts worth over ₦2.7 billion.
Additionally, he and his brother were charged with misappropriating ₦19.4 billion through contracts awarded to a family-owned company. Sirika pleaded not guilty to all charges.
