Professor of economy, Pat Utomi has said that many Nigerians are unhappy about how their affairs are being run by President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

The military has stated that the operations of Boko Haram insurgents in the north-east have been checked. The disclosure was made by the defence headquarters.

Boko Haram insurgents in the Sambisa Forest area of Borno have been bombed by the Nigerian military. The Nigerian military made the disclosure in a statement.

During the attack, the insurgents burned the residence of the former chairman of Geidam local government, Mulima Mato during the attack, as well as some shops.

Suspected Boko Haram terrorists invaded Geidam, a Yobe state community, on Wednesday, January 6, and started shooting sporadically and causing pandemonium.

Geidam, close to Yobe state capital and one of the border towns between Nigeria and Niger Republic was attacked by Boko Haram insurgents on Tuesday, January 5.

The governor, Babagana Zulum, said despite sharing cultural and religious similarities with the Arab countries, only countries from the West have shown concern.

The group said even good deeds seen as ordinary such as sending blessings, praying and interceding for Nigeria and the president to succeed in securing citizens
