The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) in Oyo State on Wednesday, May 1, appealed to the management of LAUTECH to reverse the ‘No School Fees No Exam’ policy it recently adopted.
The governing council of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso, recently appointed Professor Michael Ologunde, Kayode Ogunleye and Abayomi Okediji as its new VC, registrar and bursar respectively.
Soldiers reportedly dispatched students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology who were protesting a hike in their fees in Ogbomoso. With the new increment, the students are to pay between 200,000 and 250,000.
The ongoing second semester examination for the 2017/2018 academic session at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has been disrupted by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
About two hundred and fifty-five workers of Ladoka Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital have been sacked by the management of the institution. An internal memorandum confirmed the disengagement of the workers.
