A self-acclaimed environmental activist, @iam_igumira, has announced to his over 304k followers on X (formerly Twitter) that his girlfriend said no to his marriage proposal.

In the Sunday tweet where he announced his engagement plan, the social media influencer attached pictures of the beautiful setup for the marriage proposal.

In one of the pictures, he looked down while holding a red bouquet.

The second picture he attached to his engagement announcement tweet captured a heart-shaped cream-coloured decoration with a "Will You Marry Me?" light in bold at the center of the setup.

In the tweet, he had urged his followers to pray for him.

"Pray for me Guys.
"It is going down tonight," he tweeted.

However, he accused his followers of not doing so after things did not go as planned.

"You guys didn’t pray," his follow-up tweet on Monday read.
