I was shocked, I had no idea, and I was convinced that we were solely there for a vacation trip. I was crying the whole time. The setup was beautiful and felt like a dream.
Marco planned the surprise for nine months and even created a fake brand deal to make Hannah believe the trip was only for work. In a romantic video posted on their Instagram accounts, Marco led Hannah to a beach area decorated with white roses and candles. He gave an emotional speech and then got down on one knee to propose.

The custom ring had special meaning, with an engraving that read “Protect my baby – RW,” the last words Hannah’s father, Rick Wright, said to Marco, and it also included the centre stone from a promise ring he gave her on their first anniversary. Speaking about the ring, Wright told People in May 2025:
The ring was more beautiful than I could ever have expected. When he pulled it out of the box, the first thing I noticed was that the diamond was attached to my promise ring, which Marco gave me for our first anniversary a year ago. And then he told me to look into the ring and inside of the band, there was an engraving from something my dad told Marco before he passed away two months ago. This made me so emotional, and I started crying even more.
