At least eight people and 10 vehicles were said to have been destroyed as supporters of Senator Rabi'u Kwankwaso and Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano clashed on Monday, October 21.

The statement sent by the group's spokesman, Attah Morandy, noted that the Kogi state Kwankwasiyya movement is purely an arm of the All Progressives Congress (APC), “and as such, APC cannot defect to APC.”

Raheem Olawuyi an All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the forthcoming bye-election in Kwara state, on Thursday, November 15, narrowly escaped death when an unknown gang of gunmen attacked his vehicle.

About 5,000 members of the Kwankwasiya group in Kebbi have defected to the All Progressives Congress(APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party. Members of the group were received by the Deputy Governor of Kebbi, Alhaji Samaila Yombe.

Some supporters of Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, representing Kano Central, have left his Kwankwasiyya group, after the senator announced his defection from the All Progressives Congress to Peoples Democratic Party.

Because there are high chances that our presence could create embarrassments and a lot of friction similar or even worse than what occurred in the pavilions of delegations from Imo and Delta States during yesterday’s convention.
