A Nigerian man was left surprised after witnessing what a first-year university student brought along when school resumed.

The footage, which was shared on social media, drew attention for the huge quantity of food items that the fresher came with.

Nigerian man displays fresher's foodstuffs

The man, identified on TikTok as @absurants, recorded the moment and posted the clip showing the student carrying several provisions into his room.

According to the viral video, the items included tubers of yams, a bucket of onions, a bag of rice, a gallon of groundnut oil, and several other food items.

According to him, the sight was so baffling that he had to record a video as the student carefully arranged the foodstuffs inside his accommodation.

In the short clip, the fresher appeared to have arrived fully prepared for life on campus, determined not to depend on canteen meals or run short of food.

"Omo, this fresher really mean business o. So this Freshers no dey play o," the video's caption read.

Commenting on the story, a Nigerian man, Chidi Okoye, said his mother packaged more than that for him during his school days.

"Walai my mother did more than this for me. I enjoyed as a fresher but everything began to reduce as I entered year 2 and 3 but I never suffered. God bless that woman," he said.

Nigerian lady buys plenty of foodstuffs

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that pictures of foodstuffs a Nigerian lady restocked her house with had sent social media users into a frenzy.
