The death of Reverend David Ayuba Azzaman, the lead pastor of The King Worship Chapel and Ministry, Inc., Kaduna, has sparked tributes and mourning on social media.

The pastor lost his life in a fatal road accident on his way back from Makurdi on Saturday, May 24.

Legit.ng has compiled five things to know about the outspoken preacher, known for his willingness to engage with opposing views in the public square.

It is noteworthy that the facts about the late preacher were culled from his Amazon book store biography.

1. Pastor Azzaman is married with 4 children

Legit.ng learnt that the late Pastor Azzaman tied the knot with Agatha Raymond Angani and their union produced four children.

The names of his children are Ann, Irene, Asa, and Jada.

2. Pastor Azzaman was a school teacher

After completing his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme in Damaturu, Yobe State, Pastor Azzaman became a teacher.

The preacher taught agricultural science at the Federal Government Girls College, Bakori, Katsina State, between 2000 and 2004.

3. Pastor Azzaman had worked with two banks

Pastor Azzaman previously worked in banking; however, his specific roles at the two banks he worked at are unknown at the time of this report.

The clergyman had worked with the defunct Lion Bank of Nigeria and Diamond Bank, now known as Access Bank. He was a bank worker between 2004 and 2015.

Legit.ng learnt he operated in Port Harcourt, Rivers State; Abuja; and Kafanchan, Kaduna State during his time with the banks.

4. Pastor Azzaman won numerous awards

Azzaman, who holds a bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, received numerous awards in his lifetime.

When he was a teacher, Azzaman was honoured with the National Best Teacher Rice Essay Competition Award in 2004. As a bank employee, he won the Diamond Bank Best Customer Service Award in 2010 and the Diamond Bank Long Service Award in 2016.

His other awards include the Christian Advocacy Award (2021), and the Harbinger of Christ To The World Award (2022).

5. Pastor Azzaman has two mission fields

Pastor Azzaman, ordained a pastor in 2017, is very passionate about mission work and has two mission fields in two Nigerian states.

He has mission fields in Kebbi and Niger States.

Pastor's prophecy about Azzaman's death

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a pastor's prophecy to Reverend Azzaman concerning an impending accident had resurfaced online after his demise.

In a post on January 29, Reverend Azzaman posted that a pastor called him to tell him that he had seen an accident in one of the clergyman's mission trips. The pastor advised him to pray against death by accident. Reacting to the message, Azzaman said he can't die unless he has fulfilled his mission on earth. A part of his post read:

"A pastor called me now and he said he saw an accident in one of my mission trips. According to the pastor, I should pray against death by accident. "I will never die by accident, psalm 91:16 god said he has satisfy me with long life. So if you like plan accident, in the spiritual realm I will not die now until I preach Christ enough..."
