Vanessa Mdee, Rotimi go on Romantic Vacation for First Time Since Having Kids: "Much Needed"

Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee and her hubby Rotimi, professionally known as Olurotimi Akinosho, are taking a break from their children for the first time in three years.

The couple welcomed their first child, Seven Adeoluwa Akinosho, in 2021, months after Vanessa broke up with Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.
Their second child, Imani Akinosho, came in March 2023; the pair have been busy with parenting duties since then.
Rotimi and Vanessa's 'me time'
However, in a series of clips on her Instastories, Vanessa disclosed that she and Rotimi had taken a couple's vacation without their children for the first time since having them.

“Mama time much needed. Two babies in 3 years, first time away,” she wrote.
In one clip, the mother of two was blissfully relaxing in a jacuzzi with a drink in one hand.
She disclosed that she had not had an alcoholic drink in over four years, a decision she was delighted with.
“Haven’t had an alcoholic beverage in almost four years, one of the best decisions I ever made. Thank you, God, for grace. These custom mocktails are fire,” she said, holding a mocktail- a non-alcoholic drink consisting of a mixture of fruit juices or other soft drinks- in her hand.
Further, the couple shared that they would celebrate Rotimi's birthday today, November 30.
“Birthday tomorrow. Pray and thank God for mercy, abundance, good health, family and for all this butterscotch,” Rotimi wrote on his Instagram.

Rotimi and Vanessa are known for being very sweet and loving to each other, and they have never shied away from showing it.
Rotimi pens heartwarming message to Vanessa
On June 8, Vanessa turned 35, and Rotimi pampered her with love on her special day.
The Love Riddim hitmaker described his Tanzanian fiancée as a great mother and incredible partner.
“To a living legend, my best friend, a prayer warrior, the most beautiful woman, an incredible mother, and my partner. I love you so much. This journey with you has been a blessing from God. I’m so grateful to have you. You saved my life, and I’m forever here with you. Happy birthday, mama Imani ,” he wrote.
Responding to her man's message, Vanessa said:
“Now I’m crying. So blessed. I love you, my baby.”
