- Tinubu's political influence across Nigeria has been reaffirmed by Pastor Tunde Bakare
- The respected pastor who is also a politician said it was Tinubu who rescued Lagos and other southwest states from the PDP
- Bakare also said without Tinubu, the ruling APC would not have won the 2015 and 2019 presidential elections
Pastor Tunde Bakare, the general overseer of Citadel Global Community Church, has highlighted the contribution of the Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos, to the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2015 and 2019 elections.
The Cable reports that the popular pastor and politician said Tinubu has also fought and won numerous battles for the Yoruba nation.
Legit.ng gathers that Bakare said God does not need anyone’s permission to put the APC national leader in his hall of fame.

Reiterating Tinubu's political importance, the pastor said the APC's transition from the opposition to the ruling party would not have been possible without him.
He compared Tinubu with Jephtaph in the Bible who delivered his people despite the circumstances of his birth.
Bakare lambasted some unnamed Yoruba elders who are allegedly raising up the question of Tinubu's ancestry.
“I have a word for some Yoruba people whose stock in trade is nothing but a rancorous noise characterised by bitterness and resentment about the ancestry of the former two-term governor of Lagos state, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Carry your stone. I have a word for those Yoruba rancorous elements, noisemakers who have not achieved much as Asiwaju Tinubu has achieved, but are always querying and worrying themselves about his ancestry.
“His traducers are quick to tell you, he’s from Iragbiji; that is where Jephthah came from, that is where he came from. As if that will resolve the issues we have today. Hear me loud and clear, knowing the name of Asiwaju’s mother or father or his place of birth cannot put food on the table of the hungry or create jobs for the unemployed."
Bakare said Tinubu, despite the challenges while growing up delivered Lagos state and nearly all the southwest states from the onslaught of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from 1999 to 2007.
“Truth be told, without his cooperation and political dexterity, the APC victory at the polls in 2015 and 2019 would have been impossible.”
Bakare said those who are envious of the APC leader should "stop their useless talk about him and busy themselves with what can add value to society."
Meanwhile, ahead of the next presidential election in Nigeria, devoted loyalists of Tinubu have launched a campaign in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
Supporters of the former Lagos governor who are made up of former senators, House of Representatives members, and some other politicians across southwest states initiated the ‘Bola Tinubu for President’.
