Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro review
A lot of people worldwide are waiting for the release of the gadget in their country. Here is what one person had to say about the phone on anandtech.com:
StormyParis: I like Xiaomi products and have been recommending their Note to most people around me. Have had positive feedback... (love the battery!).
The megapixel cr** has to stop though. They already pulled it with the 48mpx Note 7, which in the end didn't usually take better picture then the 12mpx Note 5 since the SoC can't handle that rez anyway, and often took worse pics because they downgraded the autofocus.
There's little to dislike about the Redmi Note (mic ain't great for Skyping and shoting talkies, no NFC on the non-pro), and a lot to like (cute, solid HW, solid SW, solid battery, SD, jack...)... the whatever-mpx camera is prolly good-not+great, as always…
Here is what people think of it on YouTube:
- @athul s: This brand just pushes other brands to improve
- @Vikas Chauchan: Media Tech Helio G90 is a very good processor and better backup 4500 mAh 20mp front camera is very good! But Everything is but not amoled display
- @Sayooj V: Redmi : I'm king of budget
- @ akshar motivation: The best features is... Redmi Note 8 Pro processor is the best and quad camera is the very best
As you can see, tastes differ.
If you seek for a better processor, you can also have a look at these options:
- Realme XT (with a 64MP camera);
- Samsung Galaxy M30s (with a battery capacity of 6,000mAh).
In general, one might say that this device is worth buying if you do not expect or require too much from a smartphone and are on a budget.
Is Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro the best phone to buy right now? One cannot answer this question unequivocally. You should define the purpose first: whether you want a camera phone, a device for playing games or a smart tool that will improve your life.
