Oke Afa, Lagos state - Ahead of the 2027 election, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has revealed that the United States of America (USA) would not support President Bola Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

Prophecy on Tinubu's second term
Speaking further, Primate Ayodele stated that there are people who can defeat Tinubu, and even though none of them have openly shown interest yet, if they do, with the situation on the ground, they will defeat the president.
The cleric said:
“I am not in support of anyone. If anyone comes out to contest and can defeat you, I will tell you, but I have not seen it yet. However, you need to work very hard because if the person comes out with the situation on the ground, you will have issues.”
“Vice President Kashim Shettima isn’t your problem, but hunger in the country and other factors. If you don’t fix them, removing anybody from your government or adding anyone will not do you any good.

In June, the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ summit in Gombe state descended into chaos after some speakers endorsed Tinubu for a second term without mentioning Shettima.
However, Bayo Onanuga, presidential spokesperson, dismissed the claims as a “non-issue”.
'Why APC may win' — Expert
Meanwhile, Dr Sulaimon Adigun Muse, a senior lecturer in the department of political science education, Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), in an interview with Legit.ng, explained that the APC may clinch the top seat in Nigeria in the 2027 general election.
Muse, the president of the Global Academy of Political Entrepreneurship and Leadership (GAPEL), noted that unlike the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the APC is not grappling with internal disputes.
He said:
“For now, the centre is holding for the APC and that is why some people can come out and say Tinubu is unstoppable. But you may not be able to say that next year (2026), you may not be able to say that next month, or even 2027. But as it is now, it seems they are on a rollercoaster to victory.”
