"I've known Tinubu for 22 years" - Soludo
Speaking to journalists at the State House, Abuja, after a meeting with the president, Soludo said his support for Tinubu was rooted in shared progressive ideals and a personal friendship spanning over two decades, The Nation reported.
“I don’t have any apologies about it. President Tinubu is my friend. Has been my friend for 22 years now and counting. You don’t deny your friend and begin to quiver about who he is.
“I support him, and I’m impressed by the bold steps he has taken, particularly in the areas of the economy and the structural reforms. I have said so several times — we’re taking the right steps, we only need to stay the course,” Soludo stated.

2027 elections: APC woos top PDP governor
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the former director general of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), Osita Okechukwu, said Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu state is wholeheartedly welcome to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Okechukwu, who is a foundation member of APC, stated this said this in a statement in Enugu on Monday issued on behalf of the APC Foundation Members in Enugu state and South-East.
Okechukwu quoted Nnaji as saying:
“Gov. Mbah and his group should not be scared by anybody,” he said.
Anambra guber 2025: Full list of candidates
Legit.ng reported that INEC has announced the release of the full list of candidates for the 2025 governorship election in Anambra state.
Sam Olumekun made this known in a statement on Wednesday, June 4, stating that 16 political parties have been cleared for the poll.

Anambra poll: Obi's ally dumps Labour Party
In another development, Legit.ng earlier reported that Fabian Ozoigbo, a strong ally of former presidential candidate Peter Obi, has dumped the Labour Party and announced his defection to the APC.
The former Labour Party chieftain said he admired President Tinubu's leadership style, adding that despite the fuel subsidy removal, the economy has remained stable.
Ozoigbo disclosed that he was willing to be part of the new Nigeria Tinubu was building with his positive policies.
