BREAKING: When Will Tinubu Return From Europe? APC Chieftain Reveals Day, Time

  • There are strong indications that the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, may return to the country on Monday (today)
  • Tinubu had on March 21 travelled out of the country to spend some time in Paris and London, the trip, according to a statement by his media office, Tunde Rahman, was to enable Tinubu to rest and plan his transition programme ahead of his inauguration on May 29
  • But the secretary of the APC campaign council, James Faleke, in a tweet on Sunday, April 23rd, noted that Tinubu alongside his wife, would land by 2pm today

A report emanating from the camp of the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, indicates he may return to the country on Monday (today), April 24th, to take charge of proceedings and give direction.

This is even as the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) prepares to meet with the former governor of Lagos to take a position regarding the next Senate President and House of Representatives Speaker, respectively.

When Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria, Faleke, APC chieftains reveal

The secretary of the APC presidential campaign council and a member of the House of Representatives, James Faleke, in a tweet on Sunday, April 23rd, noted that Tinubu alongside his wife, Senator Remi Tinubu, would land “by 2pm at the presidential wing of the International Airport.”

Also, another party chieftain and a high-ranking member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, who craved anonymity, disclosed that Tinubu’s private jet will be hitting the tarmac of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Monday (today), The PUNCH reported.

He said,

“The report is correct. Asiwaju will be arriving tomorrow (Monday) preparation for the May 29 inauguration. He will also be meeting with the party soon to discuss the leadership of the National Assembly.”

Mr. Williams Dakwom, a member of the APC presidential campaign council (PCC) in Plateau state, in a chat with Legit.ng on Sunday, April 23rd, spoke on the transition of power which would take place on Monday, May 29, 2023.

The APC chieftain revealed some crucial tasks the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu should prioritise immediately after swearing-in.

He said,

"Security, economy, education, unity of the country is paramount because the country is more divided, Agriculture, strengthen institution by fighting corruption."
