The individual shared the post and mentioned the team that is likely to win the match, which is expected to take place in Morocco on January 10.

Man shares video of parrot
The individual, @GeneralSnow_, in a video he posted on his X page, shows a parrot outside of its cage.
The flag of Nigeria was placed not too far from the flag of Algeria in the video, and as the clip plays, the parrot did not waste any time but picked one of the teams.
This, according to the man, is a sign that the team the parrot picked would win the AFCON quarter-final match.

Taking to his page, he wrote:
"This bird has 100% success rate predicting. It has predicted Nigeria to win Algeria."
The video he posted on his page was initially shared by a user, @kioui.bi.rd, on TikTok.

We asked him a direct question, whether he thinks Nigeria will win the AFCON quarter-final match against Algeria, and he gave an immediate response.
The sports journalist said:
“Your first question is whether I think Nigeria can beat Algeria. Yes, I think Nigeria can win. But am I scared they might not win? Yes, because of some distractions around the team. There have been discussions about the payment of allowances and other issues, and these things can distract the players."
"At the same time, such situations can also motivate the team to perform better. So it can go either way. I believe Nigeria can win, but Algeria is a very tough team.”
Speaking further about the history between both teams, he added:
“Nigeria and Algeria have a long history. Apart from friendly matches, they have played about 17 times across AFCON tournaments and FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Nigeria has recorded some wins, with a few draws, but Algeria slightly edges Nigeria in terms of overall victories."
