Chidozie Collins Obasi has been declared wanted in the United States of America for an alleged fraud of N13.245b.

Chidozie reportedly sold non-existent Covid-19 ventilators to hospitals in the USA with the majority of them coming from the state of New York.

A news release by the US Department of Justice, alleges that Chidozie committed the crime between 2018 and 2020.

The USDoJ says on its website:

“Obasi allegedly convinced a medical equipment broker in the U.S. to broker sales of these non-existent ventilators, and ultimately deceived the State of New York into wiring more than $30 million for the purchase of ventilators that did not exist."

He has also been accused of other complicated fraud schemes through which he and his accomplices obtained the total sum of $31 million (N13.245b).

The shocking story emerged on social media and was later shared by Instablog9ja where Nigerians reacted to it in shock and so much disbelief.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that a school owner in Nigeria collected WAEC fees from SS3 students and disappeared into thin air.

According to the story, the school is located in Edo state and the gate was locked when the children came to take their examinations.

There was also notice at the gate advertising it for sale. The frustrated students behaved violently on the school premises, breaking some equipment with stones.
