Nigerian Lady Who Took BRT and Went Missing Found Dead, Family in Deep Sorrow

  • A 22-year-old Nigerian lady, Bamise Ayanwole, whose whereabouts were unknown some days ago has been found dead
  • The name of the driver who drove the BRT bus which she took before she went missing in Lagos was given as Nice Andrew Omininikoron
  • Many Nigerians who reacted to the new development expressed great sadness at the loss and how her family was thrown into grief

Remember the lady who could not be found after she boarded a BRT bus from Ajah to Oshodi? She has been found dead.

In a previous report, her family and friends involved the police. All that effort seems to be naught now.

In a video earlier shared, her mother lamented as she kept pointing to the parked BRT bus her daughter took. It was also gathered that effort to locate the driver's address proved abortive as he relocated.

Bamise's death confirmed

A seasoned Nigerian journalist, Akinwumi, in a post on Monday, March 7, revealed that he confirmed Bamise was dead after speaking with her brother on the phone.

He wrote:

"Update: I just spoke on phone with the brother who went to Ebute Ero Police Station and he again confirmed that he is back at home and that he has broken the news of finding her corpse to the whole family. The family, especially the mother, is in a state of shock right now."

Driver arrested

Another tweet by Alao Abiodun, a journalist with The Nation, stated that the bus driver has been caught and arrested. He gave the driver's name as Nice Andrew Omininikoron.

Commissioner kidnapped

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Otokito Federal Oparmiola, the Bayelsa state commissioner for trade and commence, was on Thursday, January 20, abducted by unknown gunmen.

It was gathered that Otokito was kidnapped by heavily armed men from his residence at Otuokpoti community in Ogbia local government area.

Gunmen invaded the community at about 11 pm and fired several shots to scare people away before whisking Otokito to an unknown destination.
