The community leader's cry for help was captured in a video posted by @PremiumTimesng on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, showing the deteriorating situation on the ground weeks after the military aircraft came down in the area.

Bodies left at crash site

According to the traditional ruler, the remains of those who died in the crash had not been fully removed from the site, leaving decaying matter in close proximity to the water source that residents depend on for daily use.

The situation, he said, posed a serious health risk to the entire community.

The NAF plane crash in Ondo had already drawn public attention before this latest development, but the traditional ruler's appeal brought renewed focus to what residents described as a lack of urgency from the relevant authorities in addressing the aftermath.
