President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has visited the family of former president Muhammadu Buhari in Kaduna to offer condolences and reaffirm his commitment to preserving the values of the late Nigerian leader.
Buhari died two months ago and was buried in his hometown of Daura, Katsina state.

The visit took place on Friday, September 19, at the Buhari family residence in Kaduna. Tinubu was received by Buhari’s widow, Aisha, their eldest son, Yusuf, and other relatives.
Tinubu pledges to sustain Buhari’s legacy
Presidential aide Bayo Onanuga confirmed the visit in a statement shared on his X handle, noting that the president assured the family that they are not alone in their grief.
“We are just here to assure you that we share in your grief, we share in your pain,” Tinubu said.
“A loss in flesh is not a loss in the spirit, and the spirit that he left with us is a spirit of hard work, dedication, patriotism, and honesty. We assure you and the entire family that we will continue with our leader’s legacy, the mark he made for Nigeria.
We will continue on the path of honesty, integrity, and great character that he imbued in us. May God help Nigeria, keep us united and together in the promised land.”

Tinubu signs visitor register
During the visit, the president signed the condolence register, writing:
“Another condolence visit to my family. May my big brother continue to rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.”
Tinubu described Buhari as a mentor whose principles of service and integrity would continue to guide the country.

He also promised to carry forward policies that reflect Buhari’s dedication to national unity and development.
Details of where Buhari died finally disclosed
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Garba Shehu, the former aide to the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, had disclosed that the immediate past president died in a London hospital.
However, the former presidential aide did not disclose the name of the hospital in London.
Buhari, born on December 17, 1942, died on Sunday, July 13, at the age of 82. He was a former military head of state who later became a civilian president. The late president was one of the most influential and polarised figures in Nigeria's political scene.
KWAM1 composes dirge for late president
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Nigerian Fuji musician King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, aka KWAM 1, joined the list of celebrities mourning the country’s late former president, Buhari.
Tributes have been pouring in from many Nigerian celebrities, and the Fuji superstar was not left out. In a video shared on his official Instagram account, KWAM1 was spotted at an event, and he made a special rendition to the deceased.
