The KSCB invited Mai Dubun Isa and Shehi, alongside organisers of the controversial debate, to report to the board within 24 hours.
The board described the heated public debate held on Monday, September 15, 2025, as a violation of its operational guidelines.
As reported by Daily Trust, the board’s spokesperson, Abdullahi Sani Sulaiman, disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday, September 16, 2027.
The executive secretary of the Board, Abba El-Mustapha, emphasised that any form of religious debate in the state is now prohibited unless officially approved by the board.
He explained that the move is aimed at promoting peace, order and legal compliance among entertainers and religious performers in the state.
El-Mustapha ordered all those summoned to appear before the committee to answer questions regarding the incident.
The board also warned that organising religious debates without the agency's approval constitutes a breach of the law and could attract severe penalties for the offenders.
KSCB also reaffirmed its commitment to regulating the activities of entertainers across the 44 local government areas of the state.

The Tricycle Operators Association expressed support for sanitising the sector but criticised the board for not officially informing them about the clampdown.
