JAMB Introduces Home-Based O'Level Result Upload System for UTME Candidates

FCT, Abuja - The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has launched a home-based O'Level result upload system, removing the requirement for candidates to visit Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres to submit their results.
Fabian Benjamin, JAMB's acting director of public affairs and protocol, disclosed the development in a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, August 25, 2026.

According to him, the system allows candidates' results to be verified directly with the examination bodies that conducted the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), starting with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
JAMB said the move is designed to make its services faster, safer, and more accessible, while addressing longstanding problems tied to manual uploads — including lost or mismatched paper results, fraudulent certificates, and errors in entering subjects and grades.
UTME: How new upload process works
To use the system, candidates must first visit the designated result verification platform and enter their National Identification Number (NIN). They then select the number of examination sittings and the relevant examination body before providing their email address, phone number, and completing payment.
After payment, candidates supply their examination number, examination series, and examination year to verify their results and generate a Verification Code. They must then send the word "VERIFY" followed by that code to either 55019 or 66019. A notification will confirm when the result has been uploaded.
Candidates with two sittings are directed to log in to their profiles on the e-Facility platform and click on "2026 UTME O'Level Upload." After entering their Verification Code, both verified results will appear on screen. Candidates must then choose a minimum of five and a maximum of nine subjects, ensuring no subject is selected more than once, before clicking "Apply the O'Level Results" to finalise the submission.
What JAMB says the system achieves
JAMB said the platform's integration with examination bodies means results are cross-checked against official records before being added to a candidate's profile, reducing the risk of fraudulent or inaccurate entries.
The Board also noted that the service offers a practical alternative during periods of high demand and network congestion at CBT centres across the country.
JAMB credited the initiative to the direction of its sixth Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, describing it as part of a broader push towards a technology-driven and candidate-focused service model. The Board added that it would continue working with examination and government agencies to make its processes simpler and more secure.
