Kizz Daniel family

Kizz Daniel, whose real name is Anidugbe Daniel Oluwatobiloba, was born on May 1, 1994, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, to the family of Kola Anidugbe, a famous artist and lecturer in Ogun State.

The musician's father, Kola, supported Kizz's dream of becoming a singer, but he also encouraged him to complete his education as well. In an interview with Factory 78 TV, Kizz talked about his father, saying:

"He's a great man; he always wanted to support you... [He would say], 'just pursue your dream. I won't force you to do anything but just take education seriously',"

Kola supported his son's dream so much that when the time came for Kizz to record his very first song, Kola gave him 100,000 Naira. Sadly, Kizz Daniel's father passed away in May 2015.

For his schooling, Kizz attended Abeokuta Grammar School. He then proceeded to the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), where he studied Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology (Water Engineering). He graduated from FUNAAB in 2013 and then started his music career fully.

Kiss Daniel music career

According to the artist, his music career has not always been a smooth one. He once revealed:

"My music journey has not been a smooth one, it has always been this up and down. It started when I was really young, around 7, 8 or 9. I started scribbling down lyrics and then my dad noticed that I do that a lot… From 13, 14, I could actually sing,"

He began seriously pursuing music as a career in 2013 after he graduated from the university. It was around this time that he met Emperor Geezy, the G-Worldwide Entertainment CEO. Emperor Geezy was impressed by Kizz Daniel's talent, and he then signed him under his label.

Kizz released his debut single, Shoye, on May 1, 2014, under the G-Worldwide Entertainment label. Shoye was produced by Beatburx and directed by MEX.

The artist followed up Shoye with Woju on September 1, 2014. Woju was an immediate banger, as it spent six weeks at the top of the MTV Base Official Naija Top Ten list.

Woju earned the singer national prominence, and the song also spawned a remix that featured Tiwa Savage and Davido.

Kizz then released his debut album, New Era, in 2016.

Kizz released his sophomore album, No Bad Songz, on November 30, 2018, under his label, Flyboy Inc. The album, which focuses on his humble beginnings and journey to stardom, featured Davido, Diplo, Sarkodie, Wretch 32, Philkeyz, and Diamond Platnumz.

His latest album, King of Love, was released in 2020. The album contains 17 songs, among them Fvck You, Pak' n' Go, and Boys Are Bad.
