Canada Updates Military Monthly Salaries of All Ranks from Corporal to Major General

Canada's Military personnel across all ranks continue to receive pay based on rank, pay level and occupational specialisation.

The latest military pay rates cover non-commissioned members (NCMs), officers, pilots, legal officers, medical and dental officers, military judges, special forces personnel and search and rescue specialists.

Special Forces, Search and Rescue, legal, medical and dental personnel were paid some of the highest rates under the updated military compensation structure.

Private military pay rates

Monthly basic pay for Privates ranges from:

  • Pay Level 1: $4,337
  • Pay Level 2: $4,987
  • Pay Level 3: $5,994

Corporal military pay rates

Corporals, also known as Sailors 1st Class in the naval service, have several pay categories including Standard, Specialist 1, Specialist 2, Special Forces and Search and Rescue.
