Biography
Jim Iyke was born James Ikechukwu Esomugha in Libreville, Gabon, into the Nigerian family of Mr and Mrs Stephen Esomugha. He was the only son in the family of 10. After his primary and secondary education, Iyke graduated from the University of Jos, Plateau state, with a BSc in Philosophy. He had earlier obtained a diploma in banking and finance from the same university.
Career
Jim Iyke started his acting career in 2001. He has featured in over 150 movies.
In 2007, Jim Iyke launched a film production outfit named Untamed Productions and a music label, Untamed Records, under which he dropped his very first album titled “Who Am I?” in which he featured some Nigerian singers such as 2baba Idibia, late Sound Sultan and others. The proceeds from the album were donated to orphanages.
