A post he made via Facebook, the lawyer argued that the current political landscape strongly favours Tinubu, stressing that “rigging and vote buying are not even in the equation because you cannot rig or buy votes where you are not popular.”
Defections and weak opposition
According to him, the wave of defections by state governors into the ruling party will tilt the balance of power.

He added that Nigeria’s political opposition remains disorganised and lacks the structure to challenge the incumbent effectively.
Atiku and Obi’s desperation
The lawyer further claimed that the desperation of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Anambra state Governor Peter Obi to contest again would work in Tinubu’s favour.
Zoning and northern strategy

He pointed out that the principle of zoning and rotational presidency would favour Tinubu in 2027.
He argued that many northern politicians are already looking towards 2031 and would not want Atiku to win.
Confidence in Tinubu’s popularity
Reiterating his confidence, the lawyer concluded that President Tinubu’s grassroots support remains strong.
“With the defections, the weak opposition, zoning, and the northern calculation, Tinubu is set for re-election. The political map speaks for itself,” he declared.
2027: Reasons Obi may fail
As the opposition rally under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) banner for 2027, analysts warned that Peter Obi faces several pitfalls by tying his fortunes to the new coalition.

Since the ADC was unveiled in July as the coalition’s platform for challenging President Tinubu, Obi has remained in the Labour Party while attending ADC meetings.
However, critics note this alliance could alienate his supporters, stir internal party conflict, and sow voter confusion.
Some of the reasons are Obi built his profile on an outsider “Obidient” movement, and some worry his base may feel betrayed by an alliance with veteran politicians.
Obi’s flirtation with the ADC coalition has already sparked warnings within the Labour Party. Some factions insist members cannot maintain dual loyalties. LP spokesman Umar Ibrahim declared that the party would not accept “half-in, half-out” affiliations, warning Obi’s camp that failure to return fully to Labour could lead to disqualification from the party’s presidential primary.

He described the 2023 election as a learning experience and maintained that the people of the region will not repeat what he called past political mistakes.
