Katsina leaders visit Tinubu
The delegation has visited President Tinubu over the recent bandit attacks in the state. Earlier in August, some gunmen attacked a mosque and killed several muslim worshippers. The incident has been described as a "reprisal attack".
Official report from the police said 17 people died in the attack, while the locals maintained that those who were shot dead by the assailants was higher. The mosque was located in a village, Unguwan Mantau, because the villagers were said to have ambushed and killed some bandits two days before, according to an official from the state government, Nasir Muazu.
During their visit to the president, Tinubu stated that he was in the midst of his family, adding that he missed his predecessor, Buhari. He further explained that Buhari left "a legacy of success", and prays for Allah to continue to grant him Aljanat Fridaos.
