Tinubu made this assertion via a post shared on his X page Wednesday, August 13, a day after hosting Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra, at the presidential villa in Abuja.

"I have no apologies for supporting Tinubu" - Soludo

Legit.ng earlier reported that Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, on Tuesday, August 12, declared that he has “no apologies” for his alliance with President Tinubu, despite belonging to different political parties, ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking to journalists at the State House, Soludo said his support for Tinubu was rooted in shared progressive ideals and a personal friendship spanning over two decades.

"I don’t have any apologies about it. President Tinubu is my friend. Has been my friend for 22 years now and counting. You don’t deny your friend and begin to quiver about who he is.

Anambra guber 2025: Full list of candidates

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that INEC has announced the release of the full list of candidates for the 2025 governorship election in Anambra state.

Sam Olumekun made this known in a statement on Wednesday, June 4, stating that 16 political parties have been cleared for the poll.

Elsewhere, Legit.ng reported that former secretary to the government of the federation, Babachir Lawal, criticised the administration of President Bola Tinubu regarding appointments.

In a trending interview, Lawal mentioned why he cannot work for President Tinubu and also disclosed the alleged winner of the 2023 presidential election.

Lawal, who was removed from his position as SGF in 2017 under former president Muhammadu Buhari, is a long-standing critic of Tinubu's government.
