1. 200-level medical student rewrites UTME
A university student who was already in his second year of a medicine programme sat the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and made his performance public.
The decision was not linked to any admission need, as he was already studying at a higher institution.
He uploaded the result through his TikTok account @youdeservemichael.
While sharing the result, he explained that he had taken the examination only 'for fun', with no academic requirement behind the attempt.
In his post, he spoke about his choice, noting that ongoing assessments in his medical school had prevented him from revising for the national exam.

Despite that constraint, he still proceeded with the exam and afterwards shared the result, which went viral.
The photo showed his marks in four subjects and the combined total.
He achieved 70 in English, 58 in Physics, 66 in Biology and 68 in Chemistry. The overall figure came to 262.
As the post surfaced, it drew engagement from viewers who were impressed by the performance.
Many netizens expressed astonishment that someone coping with the demands of a medical degree could attempt another major examination and still produce such results.

2. Medical student writes UTME again
A university student who was already enrolled in a medical programme sat the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination again.
He took the examination because he wanted to pursue a different academic direction.
The young man posted details of the examination through the X account Utd_Tomartial.
He explained that his aim was to switch course to mechanical engineering, which had been his long-standing dream.
In the post he shared, he noted that he believed the performance was strong enough to gain entry into a top institution in the country.
He also mentioned that he was leaving his current medical course and looked forward to studying at the University of Ibadan.
To support his claim, he posted a photo of the result slip which displayed 75 in English, 98 in Mathematics, 98 in Physics and 96 in Chemistry. The combined total came to 367.
As the picture went viral on the platform, it drew attention from users who were impressed by the marks recorded across the four papers.
He made it clear that the decision to write the examination a second time was driven by his desire to follow a new career path.
Although he was already in medical school, he stated that his interest lay elsewhere and that the outcome had confirmed his ability to make the switch.

He later confirmed that he had finally viewed his result, although he pointed out that several other candidates using the same mobile service had not been able to see theirs.
