The circumstances surrounding the decision were not made clear to those affected, leaving them uncertain about the reasons behind the action.

The corps member, who shared the update on X under the handle @barokahoyin, explained that the situation came as a surprise to her.

She indicated that she had not been aware that corps members could be dismissed from their primary places of assignment.

"They actually just sacked all of us in my ppa, I didn’t know corp members usually get sacked. I hope we remain sacked till January ending tho. They asked us to come with our ppa letter this morning, I was thinking maybe they wanted to give us something for December oh, only for them to write rejected on all of our letters, and stamped it," she said.

"Happened at my PPA. Heard one mf snitchedd that corp members had a WhatsApp group chat so they sacked the "Rebels" and gave them clearance letters for the few months left in their service year. After a while it clicked that they had just handed them "ghosting" on a platter of gold, they went malign them at the LG. Omorrr e sweet me die."

In a video, she lamented being asked to start work at 7.30 am and finish at 4 pm, despite not being a full-time staff member.
