A Nigerian lady recently took to social media to express her pain after making a worrying discovery in her old apartment.

The tenant, who had stayed in the same apartment for about three years, was heartbroken to find that the walls behind her bed were covered in mold.

The lady, known on TikTok as @holarifegold, shared a video showing the affected area while preparing to move into a new place.

In the clip, she disclosed that she had only noticed the mold after removing her bed frame during her relocation.

Her post showed the moment she realised that she had been unknowingly sleeping close to the mold for years.

According to her, the sight left her devastated, as she had never suspected that something like that could be hiding behind her bed.

A video of the discoloured wall which appeared damp and damaged quickly went viral, with many viewers expressing concern over the potential health risks associated with prolonged exposure to mold.

As the video went viral on TikTok, social media users flooded the comments section to share their own experiences.

Several people disclosed that they had faced similar issues in their rented homes until they decided to move out.
