A Nigerian lady, Sonwa Cynthia, has taken to social media to showcase how much she got as interest after saving with the Opay Spend & Save feature.

The lady stated that she used the Spend & Save feature on Opay and her savings accumulated to N27,225.30 after doing 25 transactions through the app

She shared a screenshot of her OPay dashboard and posted it on her Facebook page.

Lady gets interest with Opay Spend &Save

The Opay Spend &Save feature allows customers to save a percentage of the money they spend during each transaction.

According to Cynthia’s dashboard, she activated the feature to save 15% of each amount she spent on the app.

She saved 25 times and the amount accumulated to N27,225.30, which gave her a total interest of N90.30.

Cynthia said in her post:

“If you’re using OPay and haven’t activated your Spend & Save feature, you’re literally leaving free money on the table.
“I activated mine last month and honestly, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw how much interest had quietly built up just from making my usual transfers. Don’t sleep on this one! Go and activate your Spend & Save icon today, you will thank me later.”

She added in the comments:

“Free money Dey sweet shaa. I don use some of the money buy data sharperly. Don’t sleep on this.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that another Opay customer who saved N200 daily to get a new phone displayed the total amount the financial institution credited to her account after she used the Safebox option for months.

The businesswoman, who noted she did not start on time, said she deposited N200 daily to save for a new phone that she had always wanted to buy.
