From Nigeria to Italy: Nigerian Boy, 16, Picked by an Italian Firm as a Senior Web Developer, Gets Celebrated

Social media users have celebrated a Nigerian boy, John Oseni, on his appointment as a senior blockchain and web developer for an Italian firm Flywallet.

According to Scholarship Region, the 16-year-old who recently concluded his secondary school education at Command Day Secondary School, Akure, had supposedly flown out of the country due to the job.

Reacting to the news by multiple media outlets, John in a LinkedIn post debunked claims that he already left the country and downplayed the hype of the job, stating that there was nothing special in getting a job in another country.

"This thing is still making surprised.

"Cause I don’t know what’s so special in getting a job in another country, am in Nigeria though..,
"And please I still need investment, I haven’t made it, just some little growth and now it’s viral," he wrote.

Speaking with Legit.ng's Victor Duru, the talented lad revealed that he actually had jobs he did part-time before the Italy offers came.

"I was working on some jobs before but they were part-time because of my age."

Expressing joy at his new employment, John stated that he actually got employed by two Italian companies and not one.

The young man prided in the fact that he had already helped 13 startups to be up and running despite his age.

"I feel great about the job in Italy.

"There are actually two companies that employed me in Italy.
"So it’s been nice trying to solve the world's problem, all thanks to God and all,'' he said.

John joined a Web Development training center at the age of 14 where he honed and developed his skills.

Young Nigerian man who makes drones with local materials employed by Finland company

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a Finland-based company had hired a talented Nigerian man who makes drones with local materials.

Ignatius Asabor, a Nigerian youth who makes special drones using materials he got locally has been flown to Finland by an Oyinbo company and got employment with that same organization.

Breaking the news on LinkedIn, the Managing Director of Finland-based Radai Ltd Ari Saartenoja expressed joy at having young Asabor work with his company.

Ari shared a photo of the genius on arrival in Finland, Oulu and said that Asabor will strengthen the survey operations of his team in the future.
