Why weather forecasts are important
Legit.ng reports that weather forecasts are important because they provide valuable guidance for future planning, economic benefit as well as safety of life and property. They have become an essential part of people's daily lives, influencing their choices of clothing, travel and activities.
Besides the predictions of atmospheric phenomena, it forecasts the changes on the Earth’s surface caused by certain conditions, for example, snow and ice cover, storm tides and floods.
Systematic weather records play an effective role in various professions, particularly for agriculture and businesses that are dependent on it. Agricultural processes like planting and harvesting can be planned better and carried out more efficiently if long-term weather patterns can be estimated.
Furthermore, Airlines is another region where weather plays a vital role. They need to recognise the local weather conditions in order to schedule flights.
Accurate weather forecasts are essential to anticipate extreme weather events and minimise their impact on people and economies.
