FCT, Abuja - A 56-year-old Egyptian national, Mohammed Saleh, slumped and died at the Abuja Intercontinental Hotel in the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The traffic incident happened on Friday night, September 5, 2025, while the deceased was having dinner with three other people in the hotel.

Security expert Zazazola Makama said the hotel’s security supervisor, Francis Yusuf, reported the case to the Wuse Police Division at about 9:24 p.m. on Friday.
Makama disclosed this in a statement posted on his X handle @ZagazOlaMakama on Sunday, September 7, 2025.
"The deceased, identified as Mohammed Saleh, 56, slumped while having dinner with three others at the Abuja Intercontinental Hotel, Wuse Zone 4, on Friday night."
He further stated that sources said the corpse was deposited at the hospital morgue for possible autopsy
“The victim was immediately rushed to Kings Care Hospital, Wuse Zone 4, and was later referred to Wuse District Hospital, where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
“The body has since been deposited at the hospital morgue for possible autopsy.”
He added that the police have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
As reported by The Punch, the spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, Josephine Adeh, has yet to comment on the unfortunate incident as of the time this report was filed.

Entertainer slumps, dies during dance performance
Recall that tragedy struck in Ugwunagbo local government area of Abia state during an August meeting event.
A popular entertainer, Mrs Nwandinma Dickson, widely known as “Nwayi Garri,” slumped and died during her dance performance.
Eyewitnesses at the event narrated how the 65-year-old woman collapsed and died while those in the audience thought it was part of her performance.
