Tragedy as Man Hides Neigbour’s Body Inside Water Tank After Torturing Him To Death

Odigbo LGA, Ondo state - Operatives of the Ondo state police command have arrested Eze Amadi for allegedly killing and concealing the body of 28-year-old Ifeanyi Otu inside a water drum in Kajola, Odigbo local government area of the state.

It was gathered that Amadi tortured the victim to death before his body was concealed inside the water drum to be disposed of at night.

As reported by Vanguard, some residents of the community arrested the suspect while attempting to dispose of the corpse, using a motorcycle.

A source said:

”The father of the victim, Mr Michael Otu, and the suspect reside in the same neighbourhood in the community. Nobody knows what transpired between them.”

The victim’s father narrated how he got to know about the tragic death of his son.

“I was at home when I received a call that my son’s body, wrapped with foam, had been discovered inside a water drum. When I got to the scene, I saw him lying lifeless after the drum was cut open. I was told that the suspect was caught while trying to dispose of the body. Justice must be served in this case”.

The state police spokesperson, Ayanlade Olushola, said that the investigation was ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the killing.

Ayanlade said that the suspect would be charged to court after the investigation.

“The suspect is already in our custody, the investigation is ongoing, and after the investigation is concluded, he will be charged to court."

The police operatives arrested 22-year-old nab, Muhammed Mustapha, for kidnapping and killing his 8-year-old cousin.

Mustapha strangled the boy to death before the victim’s parents could raise and pay the N2.8 million ransom.

The suspect confessed to committing the crime and blamed it on the consumption of an intoxicating substance.
