Sani Dangote's Burial: How Documentation Delayed Arrival From US, Sources Disclose

Nigeria- There's new information regarding the burial ceremony of Alhaji Sani Dangote, the younger brother of the Chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote.

Sahara Reporters noted that a documentation process on Tuesday, November 16, delayed the return of the remains of Sani Dangote, who died in the United States on Sunday, November 14, after a protracted illness.

According to the report, family sources said the body was being expected in the early hours of Wednesday for burial in Kano state.

The source was quoted as saying:

“We are in constant touch with them and from our discussion; some paper works delayed their arrival in Nigeria from the United State of America not as expected.
“It is clear to us that due to the delay, we are expecting the body to arrive Nigeria in the early hours of Wednesday for burial. The burial arrangement will be announced after its arrival.”

The 61-year-old deceased businessman had investments in manufacturing, agriculture, banking and oil services.

Earlier, members of the Ninth Senate led by their president Ahmad Lawan are currently in Kano for the funeral, The Punch reported.

Lawan was accompanied on the trip from Abuja by Senator Sani Musa, Senator Bello Mandiya, Senator Tokunbo Abiru and Alhaji Auwal Lawan (Sarkin Sudan Gombe), according to a statement by his media aide, Ola Awoniyi.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Aliko Dangote was spotted in a rare moment with other businessmen aboard the same private jet. A video capturing the moment was shared on Instagram.

It was gathered that the men were on their way to Saudi Arabia for the lesser Hajj known as Umrah in Islam.

The Umrah is a religious ritual of great significance performed by Muslim Ummah for the sake of Allah. It is believed that all the requests made while performing the act are answered by Allah.
