Nollywood actress and businesswoman Tayo Sobola, better known as Sotayo Gaga, has cried out after she was allegedly scammed of an undisclosed amount of money.

In an emotional video, the mother of one explained how it happened, saying two people reached out to her while pretending to be industry practitioners.

According to her, she said she was on her own when they both came to her for help. She added that another person lamented that they needed to pay their child’s school fees and used the identity of a colleague.

She further stated that another individual contacted her on WhatsApp, crying that her marriage was on the verge of collapse due to financial struggles.

Sotayo said she sold some items to help the people, only to later discover that some of them were scammers.

The actress rained curses on the alleged scammers, switching between English and Yoruba to express her anger.

Reacting, fans described the actress as a peace-loving person who does not like trouble. They joined her in calling out the alleged scammers, saying the individuals must be people who know her well.

Some others added that the fraudsters likely knew that Sotayo’s weak point is helping people in need.
