Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo has shared a message he received from a Nigerian woman who was scammed by a man impersonating him online.

The movie star, who recently marked his 45th birthday, explained in his post that the scammer took N33 million from the unsuspecting woman, Victoria Yemisi Ayano.

In one of the posts, Ayano had petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), alleging that she was scammed of N33 million by a man named Mr. Bolanle Azeez, who posed as the Nollywood actor online.

According to the petition filed by her lawyers, Olamide Oyetayo & Co., the victim, Mrs. Victoria Yemisi Ayano, met the suspect on TikTok in July 2024.

He allegedly disguised himself as actor Ninalowo, sweet-talked her with “business opportunities” and personal requests, and convinced her to send money in instalments.

In the post, Ayano's lawyer claimed that Bolanle Azeez made empty promises, using WhatsApp chats and bank transfers. They added that they have evidence to support their claims in the letter.

Bolanle Ninalowo warns fans about fraudsters

Reacting to the message shared on his social media platform, the movie star, who spoke about emotional abuse a few months ago, noted that the N33 million Ayano was defrauded of has never been paid to him in his years of acting.

Bolanle warned that many people could fall victim to the impersonation scheme and urged them to be cautious, clarifying that he is not the one scamming people online.
