Nigerian gospel singer Neon Adejo has spoken out against infidelity allegations linking him to Alicia, the estranged wife of celebrity photographer David Martins, firmly denying any romantic involvement and offering a detailed account of how he ended up in the middle of their marital crisis.
In a statement shared via his Instagram story, Neon said he became part of the situation in 2025 after what he described as a sudden spiritual impression during a prayer session that Alicia was in distress.

He reached out to both her and David through Instagram to check on them, and things gradually escalated from there.
How Neon Got Involved
According to the singer, his support for Alicia and her son, Noah, became increasingly practical over time.
He said he covered hospital bills, provided food and other basic needs, took her shopping, and eventually paid for a month-long stay at an Airbnb in Lekki Phase 1 after she had nowhere to go. The accommodation reportedly cost N270,000 per night.
Neon also emphasised that he kept his wife fully informed throughout the entire process, noting that this was a deliberate decision he now considers one of the few things he is grateful for.
"I have receipts and documentation of my own side of this story, but let me make one thing very clear: I had absolutely no business with what was happening between the two of them. I only became involved because I genuinely tried to help someone in need," he wrote.
The Painful Lesson Neon Adejo Learned
What appeared to disturb Neon the most was discovering that private conversations between him and Alicia had been recorded and shared with David, the same person Alicia had allegedly described to him in very different terms.
"This experience has taught me a painful lesson: good intentions do not always mean you are dealing with people who have good intentions toward you.
Going forward, I will be extremely careful about getting involved in marital or personal matters, no matter how heartbreaking the story may sound," he said.

The singer also addressed David directly, refusing to condone what he described as violence within the marriage while maintaining that he had no interest in becoming a party to their conflict.
The controversy originally surfaced after David publicly shared screenshots of what he alleged were inappropriate exchanges between Alicia and Neon, framing them as evidence of infidelity. This came shortly after Alicia had publicly accused David of abuse during their marriage.
Neon said he consulted his pastor and contacted both Alicia and David before making any public statement, adding that his motivation throughout was the welfare of a mother and child, not any romantic interest.
"I have a son of my own. I cannot imagine watching my brother's son struggle and simply looking away," he said.
