Bishop Challenge: Nigerians Start Social Media Trend, Share Funny Photos After Drama at APC’s VP Unveiling

Nigerians on social media recently had a lot to talk about after a group of people dressed like bishops stormed the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s unveiling of its vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima.

Recall that the choice of Shettima as VP had already got people talking because it was a Muslim-Muslim ticket.

The ‘bishops’ at the unveiling left many in doubt about their authenticity due to their somewhat shabby appearance as well as their refusal to speak with the press.

Just a few days after the drama unfolded, some Nigerians have now turned it into a social media challenge.

Some youths covered themselves in blankets and other funny clothes to try and recreate the bishops’ looks at the unveiling.

A number of them also shared funny photos of what they were able to come up with on social media.

Peter Okoye slams fraudsters using his photos for scam

Popular Nigerian singer and Psquare star, Peter Okoye, recently took to social media to rant after a number of people got defrauded by scammers using his photos.

Taking to Twitter, Peter addressed the issue and called out the victims of the scam for believing he was the one behind it.

According to the singer, the victims who thought he was behind it do not rate him at all, and he wondered how they believed he would actually put up his phone number.

The singer then added in a subsequent tweet that those who claim to have his WhatsApp contact should better check who they have been communicating with.

Peter wondered at the situation of there being fake bishops and also fake Peter Okoye.
