Nigerians have not stopped dragging actor and lawmaker Desmond Elliot for his comment over the EndSARS matter that happened in 2020.

Many Nigerians reacted to the divorce of American business mogul Bill Gates and his wife Melinda by blaming the actor.

In a now-deleted post, actress Toyin Abraham told Nigerians to stop joking about the actor when there are other serious issues on ground. The mother of one said it was becoming annoying.

She said:

"Please can we all stop with this Desmond Elliot joke. Please it's actually annoying now. I feel if we continue with this joke then... kilode gan."

A Twitter user called Chikogu Kenneth replied to the actress by asking if she wants to be dragged for her tweet. Chikogu then told the actress to mind her business.

Replying to the Twitter user, the actress said she does not support Desmond but that the joke about him is now getting annoying. According to her, Nigerians need to be more serious.

When people didn't stop tweeting at her and asking her to mind her business, she then tweeted again to apologise. According to her, she does not want any negativity on her timeline.

In other news, Legit.ng earlier reported that fans reacted after Toyin Abraham's husband confirmed that the actress was fine.

Iyabo Ojo had earlier taken to Instagram with a post where she wished the mum of one speedy recovery and also asked fans to pray for her.

Taking to his Instagram page, Ajeyemi shared a video of his wife and their son on a video call with him.

In the caption, the actor revealed that his wife was better and thanked everyone for their concern.
