Help us change lives, join Legit.ng’s Patreon programme

A couple of years ago, Legit.ng started telling stories of people in Nigeria and through our readers’ support, we have impacted a number of lives together.

But we believe the time has come for more lives to be changed and in our quest to ensure this happens, Legit.ng joined Patreon, a crowdfunding platform that enables fans (patrons) to pay and support content creators.

Legit.ng’s Youtube channel has steadily grown its subscriptions to over 187,000 subscribers since it was established in 2017 due to its quality coverage of human interest and charity stories while also covering other fields.

We pride ourselves in ensuring that people’s needs are heard. But like many other content creators, the major challenge remains inability to achieve sustainable resources to continue to tell these stories and more.

We captured their living conditions, mental state and their means of survival. We learnt that these children wear clothes they find in the dustbin and live by means of collecting metal in the streets.

With your support, Legit.ng plans to change the lives of these children and many more kids and families out there.

This is why we urge you to join our Patreon programme as Legit.ng seeks to fund more life changing programmes with our fans’ support.

Why become a Legit.ng patron?

Legit.ng embraced Patreon to build and transform communities while giving our fans the opportunity to be part of it.

With your donations starting from as little as 5 dollars, we can continue to impact lives and change the society together, starting with the vulnerable children on the streets of Calabar.

We promise complete transparency and accountability for the trust you place in us, and every month inside our Patreon, we will be publishing detailed reports so that every benefactor can see how much of an impact they made.

Head of Video Desk at Legit.ng, Damilare Okunola, observed that there are many human interest stories that remain untold at the moment due to limited revenue flow.

“Travelling across the country, crossing the Niger, and going through cities would have been impossible without adequate and proper funding.

“And the monies that our videos generate, via social media platforms, are not even enough for two trips (we embark on a minimum of ten planned trips annually).

“This is the more reason we need more support from our followers who have watched us grow over the years.

"Your words of motivation and commendation have urged us on. We do hope for your financial support at this time, to do even more,” Damilare Okunola said.
