- Just recently, popular Nigerian stylist, Toyin Lawani’s outfit to a movie premiere threatened to break the internet
- The socialite had stepped out in a sexy nun costume that drew criticisms from a lot of people including former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode
- FFK described Lawani’s outfit as being tasteless, blasphemous and ghetto rubbish
Former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has joined the growing list of Nigerians to criticise popular celebrity stylist, Toyin Lawani, for her outfit to The Prophetess movie premiere.
Movie premieres in Nigeria have become a sort of costume party and the theme for the event was celestial. A number of celebs interpreted the theme in different ways and brought their A-game to the red carpet.
While a number of outfits turned heads and raised only murmurs, Toyin Lawani’s attire became the topic of discourse on social media for several days.
She wore a nun outfit with really high slits that threatened to showcase her private area. Her poses also drew criticisms as many found it to be too sexual for someone wearing a religious garment.
FFK took to his Instagram page to share some of the photos as he shared his thoughts about them.
According to the politician, there was nothing artistic or tasteful about the photos. He added that the snaps are without tact, disrespectful, blasphemous and completely unacceptable.
He added that it was ghetto rubbish among other colourful words used to describe the outfit.
In his words:
“Disrespectful, tasteless, tactless, shameless, best*ial, blasphemous, heretical, evil, disgusting, provocative, outrageous, anti-Christ and totally and completely unacceptable.
This is not art: it is GHETTO RUBBISH!”
