Nigeria at 59: We have better days ahead - Tinubu

The national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has said that there are better days ahead for Nigeria as a nation.
Tinubu in a goodwill message to Nigerians in celebration of the country's 59th year of independence said what Nigeria overcame in the past has given her people the confidence and courage to believe more can be achieved.
The APC leader said the country has all within its coffers to enjoy a democratic, prosperous and just existence.
“Today we celebrate the 59th birthday of our beloved nation. We stand today with our feet planted firmly in the present but with our gaze both on the past and toward our future. Looking back at the last 59 years, we have faced steep challenges yet have marked great progress nonetheless," Tinubu said.
He further called on all Nigerians to recommit their energies to building a better Nigeria and rededicate themselves to the vision of the nation's nationalists who saw greatness in the country and worked assiduously to advance it.
“The journey to our greater destiny has begun and I enjoin you all to support one another and President Buhari’s administration in this journey. I ask you all to remain committed to our highest national purpose so that we may continue to strengthen our national institutions and our very country."
“I congratulate all Nigerians on this 59th Independence Anniversary and urge you all to come along in the march to the Next Level," he said.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the president had called on all Nigerians to focus on being good ambassadors of the country everywhere they find themselves.
The president also urged Nigerians to do away with every bad attitude and be law-abiding in all their activities.
