A Nigerian woman has cried out on Twitter after she lost her sister. The woman identified simply as Chinny alleged that sister who is a corps member was shot dead in Abuja where she was serving. Read full story on NAIJ.com.

In view of the recent killing of seven police officers on their duty location by suspected gunmen around the Galadimawa area of FCT, the Nigeria Police Force has beefed up security around the Abuja metropolis and suburbs.

A resident of the community who confirmed the incident but spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the gunmen were stopped for search when they opened fire on the unsuspecting policemen which led to the death of seven.

Three suspected robbers who operate in traffic along Mile 2 Bridge, were on Sunday, July 1, arrested by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos state police command.This was disclosed in a tweet via the Twitter handle of RRS.
