Yamal surpasses Ronaldo’s La Liga record
Spain international Lamine Yamal has now won three La Liga titles since breaking into Barcelona’s first team at the age of 15 under Xavi Hernandez.
According to Barca Blaugranes, the 18-year-old has now won more La Liga titles than Cristiano Ronaldo managed during his nine-year spell at Real Madrid.
Yamal lifted the trophy in the 2022/23, 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons, while Ronaldo won the title in 2011/12 and 2016/17.
The Spain international has been one of Barcelona’s standout players this season, scoring 16 league goals and providing 12 assists, per Sofa Score.
Barcelona also secured their first trophy of 2026 earlier this year after defeating Real Madrid 3-2 in the Supercopa de España final.
Following their latest triumph at Camp Nou, the Catalans have now claimed their second trophy of the year.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has also set an impressive El Clasico milestone.
The German tactician is the first manager to win six of his first seven El Clásico matches, surpassing Pep Guardiola, who won five of his opening seven encounters.
Barcelona are now level with Real Madrid in overall El Clasico victories, with both clubs recording 106 wins each alongside 52 draws.
